Monte Consulting partnered with Michigan Technological University's ME-EM (Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics) Department for the seventh time in as many years to create a comprehensive, 44 page annual report. In 2007 MC created the ME-EM logotype as a large, yellow masthead as their brand sought to gain more visibility. The magazine-like approach has been used every year since with great success.
The 2010 ME-EM annual report follows the paths of two undergraduate mechanical engineering students, Colleen Sharpe and Seth Taylor, from freshman to senior year. A new design was employed to make the most of the storyline and its unique perspective. The report also features video interviews that highlight the experiences of the two undergrads, a graduate student, and the chair of the ME-EM department.
MC provided the graphic design, photography, and writing for the annual report, as well as the recording and editing of the interview videos. The videos are posted on the ME-EM’s website and links to them were included in the printed report to encourage the reader to continue following the story online.
